Description
Daughter of Mother Earth and the Peneus River, Daphne was a nymph who loved her freedom. Because of her extreme beauty, she won the hearts of a young mortal named Leucippus and the god Apollo. To escape Apollo’s pursuits, Daphne transformed into a beautiful laurel tree. Since the laurel became Apollo’s favorite tree, he has worn its branches like a crown.
Aged for one year in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and the fruity aromas, Dafne has a red-ruby color. On the nose, it presents intense aromas of strawberry, plum, cherry, and a hint of lavender. On the palate, it is juicy and pleasant.
