    Visiting day:

Visits are not available on Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

A winery visit between Roero and Monferrato is much more than a simple wine tasting. It is a journey through a unique area of Piedmont, shaped by gentle hills, sandy soils, and a long-standing winemaking tradition. In Cisterna d’Asti, nestled between Monferrato and Roero, Cantine Povero welcomes wine lovers to enjoy an experience that brings together history, landscape, and authentic wine culture.

During the winery visit and wine tasting, guests can explore the production process up close, walk through the vineyards surrounding the estate, and understand how the Roero terroir influences the aromas and structure of the wines. The guided tasting experience allows visitors to sample representative labels from the area, highlighting native grape varieties and historic appellations in an authentic and tradition-rooted setting.

Choosing a winery visit between Monferrato and Roero means enjoying a genuine wine tourism experience, far from crowded routes and mass tourism. It is ideal for those who wish to discover the wine heritage of Piedmont through direct contact with the land and its producers. A perfect opportunity for enthusiasts, couples, and small groups looking for a wine tasting between Monferrato and Roero that expresses the true identity of a territory still waiting to be explored.

To complete the winery visit, we offer different wine tasting experiences through guided tasting paths. The tastings range from a selection of five representative wines from the winery, chosen from weekly proposals, to themed itineraries that explore the meeting point between Roero and the Terre Alfieri, featuring labels such as Arneis or Favorita, Barbera d’Asti Superiore, Cisterna d’Asti DOC Superiore, and Roero DOCG. For lovers of great Piedmontese red wines, a dedicated in-depth experience is also available, focused on the different expressions of Nebbiolo, including interpretations from Roero, Terre Alfieri, Barbaresco, and Barolo, along with a selection of organic wines from Cascina Vengore, representing a form of viticulture deeply connected to the territory.

The winery tour lasts approximately 30 minutes, followed by a 1-hour wine tasting. At the end of the experience, guests may also spend some time shopping in the wine shop.

Pets are allowed in the tasting room, but not during the winery tour, as this takes place in a production area.
