Il Sendallo Piemonte Chardonnay DOC 2024

5,20

Description

From the 14th to the 19th century, Asti, the most important town of Monferrato, hosted the Palio, a famous horse competition. In the Asti dialect, Sendal is the name of the painted labarum linked to the Palio. Today, it bears the image of San Secondo on horseback with the town symbol.

Chardonnay is the most famous and versatile white grape variety, grown in almost every wine-growing area of the world. On the red lands of Monferrato and in the thermal excursions of its microclimate, Chardonnay has found the perfect terroir to express its intense aromas and its freshness.

The color is a pale straw yellow and the scent is subtle and fresh. The flavor is dry, lean, and harmonious, with hints of citrus, white flowers, pear, banana, Golden apple, licorice, and acacia blossom. The finish is long and tingly.
