To savor a good wine, you need to know its history. Behind Cantine Povero lies the enthusiasm of Grandpa Tumlin, his emotional bond with the land, and his patient industriousness. Our history started long ago and we want to produce wine for many years into the future. Organic farming<\/h3>\n \n
\u201cWe practice organic farming to cultivate authenticity.\u201d\n1998 was a crucial year for Cantine Povero, as we decided to adopt organic farming, starting from the vineyard of Santa Lucrezia Cisterna d\u2019Asti DOC. On about 100 hectares of land, 50 are planted with vineyards, 20 with arable land, and 30 covered by woods.
