Description
Dal genovese “gabanin-a” cioè piccolo gabbano (piccola tunica), è la casacca indossata dal fantino durante la Corsa del Palio. In the Genoese dialect, “Gavardina” is a small tunic and is referred to the jacket worn by the jockey during the Palio race.
Enchanting for its deep ruby and lively foam. The nose is particularly vinous and persistent with notes of raspberry, cherry, and peach. The palate is full and harmonious: a light tendency to sweetness is harmonized with the other sensations. Excellent for a “mirenda sinoira”, cheerful happy hours typical of Piemonte, with wine, bread, cheese, and salami.

Mixed boiled meat, pasta with tomato sauces, a platter of cold cuts and mixed cheeses, zampone (pig's trotter stuffed with seasoned mincemeat)
