Description
Barbera d’Alba requires special attention both during the maturation and in the winemaking process. Therefore, the Povero brothers only use the grapes of their organic vineyards to craft this special Barbera d’Alba, aged in wood for 24 months.
The color is an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The ample bouquet has hints of wild berry jam, ripe cherry, rose, cassis, soil, bark, cinnamon, green pepper, licorice, incense, and a very slight hint of vanilla stand out. The palate is juicy, warm, full, and persistent.
Pair with:
Lasagne, risotto with meat, grilled red meats, braised beef meat with Barbera sauce, mixed boiled meat, spicy cheeses like Bruss, semi-hard cheeses like Raschera
