Description
Barbera d’Alba requires special attention both during the maturation and in the winemaking process. Therefore, the Povero brothers only use the grapes of their organic vineyards to craft this special Barbera d’Alba, aged in wood for 24 months.
The color is an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The ample bouquet has hints of wild berry jam, ripe cherry, rose, cassis, soil, bark, cinnamon, green pepper, licorice, incense, and a very slight hint of vanilla stand out. The palate is juicy, warm, full, and persistent.
The vintage 2019 was an ideal vintage with slow, complete ripening. The wine is rich in aromas, with elegant tannins and an intense, persistent taste. Excellent for those seeking a wine with personality and longevity.
